I thought setting up a blog would be easy

Finally we have had the ok for a six month trip to San Francisco and I thought  it might be fun to set up a blog and keep a diary of our travels. Not so fast though.... not being all that technically minded I am having rather a lot of difficulty just figuring out how this whole blogging thing works. I thought it would be a bit like scrap booking (which I love and am quite good at), beautiful pictures, a few carefully chosen words, subtle layouts that tell the perfect story. But there is so much more to it. So instead of my blog starting with a post about "What to Pack?" or "Deep in my Lonely Planet Guide" I am faced with my inability to import a picture and trying to decipher what a gadget is. Be patient with me because I'm really excited where this adventure will take us.
